DHCP Scopes (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
DHCP is a network protocol that enables a server to automatically assign an IP address to a computer from a delegated range of numbers (i.e., a scope). MERIT assigns IP numbers via a DHCP server. Each School of Education building has it’s own scope (unique IP numbers).
